The market
Though picturesquely rural, Yarpole is not a backwater: celebrated for its award-winning ‘shop in the church’, just off the Black and White Village Trail and a few miles from the Marches food-capital of Ludlow, Yarpole attracts visitors from all over the UK and beyond. The National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall are close by, with c200,000 visitors annually. The core market is formed from broad-based local and drive-out custom, plus cyclists, walkers and holiday makers.
