Bransholme is a large residential housing estate located to the north of Hull. Most of the property was built in the 60's and 70's and the population in the area now stands at almost 30,000. Demographics show that most of the area is made up of working class and skilled working-class people. The pub is in the central area of Bransholme and has a large car park and is also located on the main bus routes with a bus stop just outside the premises.

There are two major retail centers ' available within the area. These are North Point Shopping Centre, formerly and still locally known as Bransholme Centre, a location where several smaller shops can be found as well as a covered market, and Kingswood Retail Park, which is the site of several large major stores as well as an entertainment area including a multiscreen cinema, bowling alley and restaurants. There are 2 high school within the environs of Bransholme, these are fed by several primary schools.

Pub Layout

Externally there is a large car park to the left elevation of the building which also has one of the two entrances into the pub. The main bar is an open plan area zoned into a games area and lounge. The bar is serviced from one central servery and décor is bright and in good condition. The second entrance leads into a lobby where both ladies and gent's toilets are accessed. These toilets have recently been refurbished to a good modern standard. The function room is also accessed from this lobby entrance and is a good-sized room capable of holding up to 100 people. The function room also has its own dedicated bar servery.
